Are retired persons required to file and pay City of Monroe taxes?

Effective October 28, 2021, local municipal income tax filing requirements for retirees has changed to the following: Any resident individual taxpayer who is fully retired (no taxable income as defined in Section 887.041(a)) shall not be required to file an annual return with this municipality after they have notified the municipality of their retirement in writing.
