1. Typically, we cannot make any adjustments for inside leaks because City policy only allows for adjustments to be made on the sewer portion of the bill, and indoor leaks (such as the one you experienced) usually drain into the sanitary sewer system.
2. The water from the leak must be treated using the same processes and measures that are needed for normal sewage treatment; therefore, no sewer adjustment can be given.
3. If the water from the leak did not drain into the sewer and was extracted from the home or building, please contact the Utility Billing Office for further direction. (Please be aware that you will be required to provide proof of extraction.)

Proof of Repair

What is proof of repair?
Proof of repair is usually an invoice or receipt from the plumber or the company that corrected the leak.
If you made the repairs yourself, you can submit a receipt from any parts or equipment that you used to make the repair.

1. We will review your account for an adjustment, but it may take a bit longer because we will need to verify that your water usage has returned to normal. (We will treat normal usage as proof that the problem has been corrected.)

What happens next?
Once you submit this request, it will be sent to the Utility Billing Specialists for review and adjustment calculation.
Once the adjustment is finalized, we will send an email to the address that you provided informing you of the adjustment amount and your updated current balance.
